We all have a story. Mine is as long as anyone's and probably just about as interesting. I began my working career while in high school. I worked at a variety of jobs in different industries finally settling in the insurance business as a workers compensation adjuster. I spent nearly 20 years handling claims. Dealing with injured workers provided me with ample educational opportunities to learn about the human body. All that time spent working in cube farm, after cube farm, where ergonomics was not at the top of the cube designers list, also left me with aches and pains as many can relate to. Stiff neck and shoulders, low back pain, carpal tunnel symptoms...I had it all. So, after multiple downsizings and corporate layoffs, I decided that I needed a change of career. I had had an interest in massage therapy and now I had the opportunity to learn it and embrace it. So off to school I went to learn from the some of the brightest in the industry. With my medical background as an insurance adjuster, I approached massage from a medicinal viewpoint. It’s not just for relaxation. It is a fantastic way to achieve and maintain physical wellness overall. From stress relief to helping injured muscles heal, massage therapy provides a great service for people in all stages of life.
